Our chairside assistants are registered dental assistants licensed in the State of California with expertise in the specialty of orthodontics. Our assistants work directly with the doctors to implement the patient’s treatment plan.
Our front desk staff members have a broad knowledge and understanding of orthodontic treatment. We are happy to answer any questions that may arise during your care. The staff regularly attends continuing education courses to stay current on the latest techniques. Our Prized Team Members
Gaby
Gaby has been in the orthodontic field since 1991 and joined our team in 2002. She loves meeting our new patients and following them through their orthodontic treatment from start to finish. She enjoys the interaction with our patients as well as the entire staff to help create a fun atmosphere in the office. Gaby is also our dental awareness program coordinator as well as our marketing coordinator. When she is not working on our social media content and promoting what makes Mt. Diablo Orthodontics unique, she enjoys traveling, reading and spending time with her family and her pugs “Oti” and “Bella”.
Michelle
Michelle is an awesome team member! She began her career in the healthcare field in 2008 and lucky for us she switched to orthodontics. In her spare time, she loves to travel to the Pacific Northwest and take weekend trips to Pioneer with her husband Steven. Michelle has 2 lovely cats that she adores. Michelle loves meeting new people and interacting with patients! She is excited to be in the Orthodontic field and being a part of our dental community!
Stephanie
We are proud to have Stephanie as part of our Team. Her bubbly and happy personality make her a great fit for our practice. She joined us with over 25 years of orthodontic experience. In her spare time, she loves hiking and being outdoors. Stephanie also enjoys cooking for her friends and family and spending time with her two wonderful children Jack and Riley and Beau the family dog.
Leah, RDA
CHAIRSIDE ASSISTANT
Leah became a part of our team in 2019, transitioning from the ophthalmology field where she had dedicated several years.
Since then, she has seamlessly integrated into our team, proving to be an invaluable asset. Whether at the front desk or assisting patients, Leah’s dedication shines through. Outside of work, she loves to attend San Francisco Giant’s and the San Jose Sharks games. You will also find her hiking, paddle boarding, doing yoga, and camping. Weekends are often spent on getaways with her boyfriend, Ryan, and cherished moments with Sampson, who they rescued in 2021.
Maria, RDA
Maria embarked on her journey in the dental field back in 2019, simultaneously pursuing her Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) designation while serving as our Sterilization Coordinator. We take immense pride in her recent achievement of obtaining her RDA earlier this year, and she is now fully immersed in providing care to our patients. Maria has developed a passion for our specialty, finding joy in connecting with both patients and their families. Outside of her professional life, Maria cherishes moments with her family and enjoys exploring the city. A devoted fan of Harry Potter and Disney, she also channels her creativity through makeup experimentation and has a keen interest in the field of orthodontics.
Veronica, RDA
Veronica, highly skilled in her craft, embarked on her dentistry journey in 2010 and has since been an integral part of our office for over a decade. She takes immense pleasure in guiding patients through their orthodontic journey, ensuring they achieve vibrant, healthy smiles from start to finish. Beyond her professional commitments, Veronica finds joy in hiking with her adorable dog, Smokey, and satisfying her sweet tooth through baking. She’s equally passionate about unleashing her creativity with her Cricut and exploring new adventures with her wonderful husband, Jordan. Cherishing every moment, Veronica also treasures time spent with her two children, Dominic and Jameson.
Tamara
Tamara embarked on her journey in pediatric dentistry back in 1989, becoming an integral part of our team in 1993. Known for her infectious positivity and uplifing spirit, she fosters a familial atmosphere within our office. Beyond her professional dedication, Tamara finds joy in the outdoors through activities like glamping and paddle boarding, often cherishing moments with her loved ones. Her compassionate heart extends to animal rescue, evident in her home filled with one loyal canine companion and four feline friends. Alongside her husband, she shares a passion for baseball and takes pleasure in renovating their home and tending to their gardens.
Kim
Kim has been in the dental field since 1992 and she truly loves the specialty of orthodontics. She joined our team in 2014. She is originally from Canada and she enjoys going back to visit her family and friends often. She loves to read, bake and spend time with her daughter. Kim and her husband love weekend getaways and are huge San Jose Sharks and San Francisco 49er fans.
Laurie
Laurie has been in the dental field since 1989 and she joined our team in 1996. She is a valuable asset to our team because she wears so many hats in our office. Laurie keeps us organized and takes care of our office administration. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, walking, traveling as well as spending time with her family and friends.
Felicia
Felicia has been in the dental field since 1982. She has been with us since 2011. Felicia always meets our patients and families with a smile and adds a happy and bubbly personality to our office atmosphere. If you look around our office you may just find some of her cute artwork on our bulletin boards! In her spare time, she enjoys writing and art, and it is no surprise she has an exceptional eye for decorating and fashion. She is a true asset and integral part of our team!
Valerie, RDA
Valerie has been affectionately caring for patients since 1986. She truly shines in what she does as a chairside assistant and enjoys learning all she can about orthodontics and how to better care for patients. Valerie enjoys fishing and weekend getaways with her husband. She loves going to concerts, and especially loves Blues music. She has a dog, a cat and a bird that get along harmoniously.
Stacy, RDA, OA
Stacy found her passion in the orthodontic field in 2003. She loves witnessing the journey of patients as their confidence grows. She believes everyone should have a beautiful and healthy smile. Outside of work, Stacy enjoys activities like swimming, biking and gardening. Her ultimate joy comes from moments spent with her two children, Kenzie and Brody.
Always having a love for animals, Stacy adopted ad welcomed two cats Maple and Cricket to her family. Her living and working in Concord have proven to be an enriching and a wonderful chapter in her life.
Suzanne
Suzanne has been in the orthodontic field for over 30 years. After taking some time off she has rejoined our practice which adds up to 18 + years with us! We are super excited to have her back. She has always been a special part of our ortho family. When she is not working she loves to spend time traveling with her family. Suzie enjoys the outdoors! Going camping and gardening is just a few of her favorite things to do. We love that she has a happy and positive personality that brightens everyone’s day!
Angie
Angie brings her love for art into the world of orthodontics. She loves to draw and is very creative! With a background in the field of phlebotomy, she knows that every detail counts when it comes to patient care. Her keen eye for detail and artistic sensibilities make her an invaluable asset to our team. Angie understands the importance of maintaining a sterile and safe environment. She applies her medical knowledge to ensure our orthodontic procedures meet the highest standards of hygiene.
Angie also cherishes moments spent with her family, especially her three nephews and one niece, which includes an amazing set of triplets!
Karen
Meet Karen our HR Coordinator and seasoned dental professional with over 30 years of experience in the field. With a passion for travel and exploring tropical destinations, she finds joy in immersing herself in different cultures and experiences.
In her spare time, you’ll find her at home with her dog, KWANA, whose name translates to “peach” in Cherokee. As an avid animal lover, she has adopted several animals with volunteers and several animal rescues. She also enjoys cooking and teaching others about healthy eating habits as a health coach.
With a heart dedicated to making a difference, Karen is committed to implementing positive changes that enhance the daily lives of our patients. Her extensive expertise and compassionate nature make her an invaluable member of our team, ensuring that every patient receives the highest level of care and support.
