Use Of Lasers

Soft Tissue Procedures

We use an advanced laser in our practice for soft tissue procedures. The laser is a narrow beam of light energy that can penetrate the gingival tissue in order to remove or shape the gums.

This procedure can be very helpful in the situation when an unerupted tooth is either delaying the start of treatment or treatment progress. Utilizing topical anesthetic, we can quickly and comfortably trim the tissue so that a brace can be placed on the tooth. The tooth can then be efficiently moved into the mouth.

In addition, we use the laser to contour and sculpt the gums around the front teeth in order to improve the overall appearance of your smile. Please see some examples of our patients who were treated using our laser below.
